MediaMonks starts an office in Mexico City because of the growing demand for high-end integrated production work in the region. It will be the eleventh international office and Marcelo Planchart and Alexander van Rijn will lead the office.
The Dutch company, part of Dutch Media Innovators, has already worked with Mexican brands and agencies such as Aeroméxico, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, Publicis, Visa and Visit Mexico Tourism Office. According to Victor Knaap they have been working under the radar for a few months on very 'nice productions'. 'The projects we have produced so far vary from TVCs to apps and digital platforms.'
With the opening of the office in Mexico, there are a total of 200 'Monks' working in Latin America. The company has 650 employees worldwide.
