Last month, Dutch Media Innovators attended the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Show in Las Vegas to showcase new technology from 24i Media, TNO Research, and AngryBytes.
Each company met with industry experts and reporters to discuss their exciting new innovations for the broadcasting industry.
24i Media, a leading provider of multi-screen TV apps, showcased their newly launched CMS called SmartOTT Backstage, and announced an exciting integration with Microsoft Azure. During the show, 24i CEO Martijn van Horssen was featured on two panels, “End-to-End Delivery of OTT Products & The Business Opportunities” and “The Connected Media IP Panel Debate 9; TV Innovation and Future Trends: a 2020 Vision.”
TNO Research, an independent research organization that connects people and knowledge, introduced two new technologies, Sport Studio Automated and The Virtual Director, to professionals in the sports broadcasting industry. Represented by Paul Valk, TNO’s Head of Sports and Media Technology, the company showcased how these technologies will evolve the way amateur sports games are broadcast, and stats are collected.
In partnership with Ex Machina, AngryBytes, a leading developer of technology that engages audiences through second screen experiences, showcased their newest offering, PlayNow!, at the show. Playnow! was featured in a special area of the show floor called SPROCKIT, dedicated to emerging companies and innovative technologies for the broadcast industry. PlayNow! is a real-time platform that allows audiences to engage during live broadcasts with their phones, tablets, and other second screen devices.
Overall, NAB was exciting for all who attended, and a success in introducing Dutch Media Companies to American broadcasters and technology professionals!
